Strategic Psychotherapeutics

The company behind StratPsych®, an online learning platform for psychotherapists, based in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The page opens on a holographic 3D brain, drawn live in the browser from an NIH brain model, turning slowly with neurons firing inside it, and signals leave the brain, run along the bracket of the StratPsych logo and land back in it. Underneath, the yearly subscription is one button, beside the log-in for members.

The brief

What they needed

A redesign of the company site that sells StratPsych, a $199-a-year learning platform for psychotherapists. The old site was a website-builder template: a half-greyscale office photo, a store page for a single product, and a first screen whose only button was for people who had already paid. The brief was a site as current as the platform it sells, keeping every word of the old one.

The build

What got made

01

A brain that is actually running

The hero is a 3D human brain drawn live in the browser from the NIH’s Detailed Human Brain Model, turning at one steady speed with neurons firing along its folds. Signals travel out of the brain into the StratPsych logo’s bracket and back on the same beat as the logo’s own pulse, and a tap sends a cascade across the cortex. Phones load a lighter model, and a still takes its place when motion is turned off.

02

Their logo, with a pulse

The StratPsych bracket was traced exactly and given a steady pulse that runs from one end dot to the other without stopping. It is the same drawing in the navigation, the hero and the footer, so the mark itself carries the idea of a signal moving.

03

Subscribing is one button

The old subscription page was a one-product store with a cart. Now every Subscribe button goes straight to a yearly checkout, the renewal terms sit beside every price, and subscribers can manage or cancel from a link in the footer.

04

Every word kept, launched on their own domain

Every bio, paragraph and training listing is the company’s own wording; the only edits are fixed typos. What is new is what the old site never showed: the platform’s 33 modules in three tiers, taken from the platform itself. The site runs in the company’s own account on its own domain, with its existing email carried across untouched.
